HOTEL "OLIVE PRESS"
The Hotel Olive Press is an old olive oil factory on the
beach in Molyvos, a short walk from the restaurants and nightlife of the town.
It has a beautiful interior courtyard, comfortabe rooms, a bar, restaurants and
tennis courts. It's a catagory B and has 91 beds. The only problem with this
hotel (and several of the others close to the town beach in Molyvos) is the
noise from the motorcycles, especially on weekends in July and August because of
a popular bar in the neighborhood.
It is a situation that is causing some
friction between the hotel owners and the mayor of Molyvos and until they
negotiate some kind of compromise my advice is to be sure you get a room on the
sea-side of this hotel or else stay in the harbor or at the Sunrise or one of
the hotels towards Eftalou. If you are planning to stay at any of the hotels in
this area be sure to ask for a room away from the street and ask your travel
agent to call the Mayor of Molyvos and ask him why he allows the motorcycles in
